Audience Satisfaction with Television Drama
You are invited to participate in an ongoing research study of audience satisfaction with one of two hit prime-time television dramas, Packed to the Rafters (8.30pm Tuesday on Channel 7) or Rush (8.30pm Thursday on Channel Ten). The purpose of this study is to collect your opinions on a continual basis so that your satisfaction can be observed over time.

If you choose to participate, you will be invited to complete a series of on-line surveys that will take approximately 10 minutes of your time each week. You will be requested to select one of the two programs, complete a preliminary survey and then each week complete an episodic survey within two hours after watching an episode. This study will run for eight weekly episodes.


All survey invitations will be sent to you via the e-mail address that you nominate on the following page. You are requested to provide a mobile contact number so that you can be reminded, via text message, to watch your elected program and participate in this study. You will not be called and will only receive a maximum of two weekly text messages for the duration of this study. Additionally, you will also receive an e-mail and text message in the event that you are awarded a prize for participation in this study (see Reward Scheme). Contact details will not be used to examine or report on the response(s) of individual participants.

Reward Scheme: Total cash prize draw valued at $500!
Participants who complete the first four episodic surveys will go in a prize draw to win one of five $15 cash prizes. Participants who complete the first six episodic surveys will go in a prize draw to win one of five $35 cash prizes. Finally, participants who complete all eight episodic surveys will go in a prize draw to win one of five $50 cash prizes.

Voluntary Participation
Participation in the survey is purely voluntary and you are entitled to withdraw from participation at any time without penalty. This research is being undertaken for the requirements of a Bachelor of Commerce-Marketing Honours Degree at Macquarie University. Participation in this study will have no bearing on the teaching or grading for students at Macquarie University.

Confidentiality
All information and contact details gathered for the purposes of this study is strictly confidential. ALL INFORMATION WILL BE STRICTLY CONFIDENTIAL. All responses will be treated as confidential within the normal legal limitations of the confidentiality of the information.
